How does the school year work?
Children have these exams for each unit:
1. VOCABULARY TEST: Translate into English or Spanish some different words.
2. LISTENING AND GRAMMAR TEST: Oral comprehension and grammar about each unit.
3. READING TEST.
4. SPEAKING TEST.
5. WRITING: children have to write about something done in each unit.
6. DICTATION: prepare a dictation.
A week before doing "Vocabulary" and "Listening and Grammar" test pupils will make a note on the class diary.
When the English teachers correct the test, they will give it to pupils so they will take it home to show it to their parents. Their parents have to sign it. The next English lesson, pupils must bring the signed test so that the teachers could check if the test is signed and pupil's parents know the test mark and they're aware of their children situation.
The final mark of the school report will be the average of all the English skills marks that they got during the term. The final English mark could change because English teachers value pupils' behaviour, the attitude to their daily work and participation.

¿Cómo funciona el curso?
1.Vocabulary. Traducir al inglés o castellano una serie de palabras.
2. Listening and grammar: Compresión oral y gramática del tema.
3. Reading: Comprensión oral.
4.Speaking: Expresión oral de lo que se trabaja en la unidad o unidades anteriores.
5.Writing: Redacción de un texto relacionado con la unidad.
6.Dictation: Dictado preparado de la unidad.
Una semana antes el profesor escribirá en la agenda de clase los controles de “Vocabulary”, “Dictation” y de “Listening and grammar”.
Una vez corregido el control se le entregará al alumno que lo deberá guardar en la carpeta de inglés. Al final del tema el profesor dará permiso para que los alumnos se lleven a los controles a casa para que los padres los puedan ver y firmar. Al día siguiente deberán traer los controles firmados a clase. La firma de los controles nos ayuda a saber que los padres han visto los exámenes y de este modo asegurarnos que conocen cual es la situación en la que se encuentra su hij@.
